The All-Important First Session - Assessing Autobiographical Memory of Trauma

This session marks the beginning of your journey towards self-discovery, insight and action. The keys are confidentiality and informed consent. This session will demonstrate to the client that the practice is based on rigorous international research, adherence to international protocols, confidentiality and informed consent. Dr G Lilienthal makes no reports whatsoever to external entities, such as government health records or any other kind of government database. Your privacy is preserved. The first session is key to identifying the underlying traumas and symptoms.

Initial Assessment of Autobiographical Memory

During the first session, we deploy Dr Lilienthal's procedure for assessing life patterns, based on the ancient methodology of Plutarch's Parallel Lives, as elaborated in Dr Lilienthal's published research. Everyone finds this session to be interesting, intriguing and enjoyable. The first session involves a series of questions and answers. These questions are carefully designed from Dr Lilienthal's published research.

Dr Lilienthal builds client rapport by strictly adhering to the Helsinki Protocols of Ethics in Human Research.

Exploring Directions and Issues

The first session establishes the character of problems that tend to repeat during the course of the client's life. Using Plutarch's methodology, as elaborated by Dr G Lilienthal, goals can be agreed upon, based on now-established facts and desires. The procedure is based on Dr Lilienthal's research paper on historiographical methods.
